Affordable Motors, a Cadillac dealer in Brooklyn, is excited to let our customers know that GM is stepping up their infotainment game and will start implanting a state-of-the-art infotainment system into Cadillac models. The new system is called Cadillac CUE, Cadillac User Experience and it will debut in next year’s Cadillac XTS. CUE is scheduled to be in all Cadillac models by 2015.
Cadillac CUE is set to debut itself to the world at the CTIA Wireless show and is set to compete directly against other luxury brands infotainment systems , in an effort to switch more people over to Cadillac drivers. The new system will be furnished with a three-core ARM 11 processor, which makes Cadillac’s new infotainment system four times faster/powerful than anything currently on the market, and is guaranteed to put a smile on techies faces. The triumvirate of cores will be used to handle the touch-screens that will debut in the XTS, one on the dashboard and one behind the steering wheel. They will also be handling voice instructions as well, creating a safer, hands free driving experience. One big plus about CUE is that it is mostly built on Java and HTML5, which will allow custom applications to easily be developed and integrated.
Cadillac beefed up their infotainment system, but part of this was also meant to minimize distractions. In the XTS, you won’t see 20 buttons on the steering wheel, only 4, which will be used for controlling the menu as well as volume control. Cadillac has been known for raising the bar over the years and this is just more proof.
