First off the Honda Civic is offered as both a sedan and a coupe and carries five different trim levels; DX, LX, EX, EX-L and Si which are offered between both styles of Civic.  The Si trim level has historically been the most expensive offering a high-output engine, alloy wheels, quality audio system, and a dynamic sport-tuned suspension.  Additional add-ons are navigation, performance tires and leather seats which are heated.  

Most of the trim levels are powered by a 1.8 liter, four-cylinder engine that pumps out 140 horsepower. It offers drivers the option of a five-speed manual or automatic, making it virtually drive able for anyone under the sun.  Fuel-efficiency, which has never been an issue for Honda, is high above average boasting 36 miles per gallon on the highway, which is a huge selling point for potential buyers. 

Honda Civic has also done historically well in government crash testing.  The 2009 Honda Civic received a perfect five-star rating in frontal impacts and rear impacts.  In Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) testing the Civic received the rating of “Good” which is the highest rating you can get.
